How easy it is to appeal against eviction judgment?with no lease?

I have eviction judgment in my favor when my tenant did not show up on the court date. If he would go for appeal against eviction how east could it be? when there is no lease signed and the decision is for pay rent or quit which he still not paid. On the other hand how many days I have to wait for actual eviction takes place after getting writ of possession?I live in virginia
