How do i tell my boyfriend he needs to trim his pubes?

He was talking about how if he pulled down a girls pants and she was hairy he wouldn't have sex with her..I shave but he has a forest growing down there lol. But really, he doesn't like hair, neither do I..I'm not asking him to shave it but at least a trim?
